What does "Assessing" mean?

The API responds with this status when our backend requires additional data to process your request.
Usually this means we have not received a request related to the seller or buyer in the past and need to fetch additional company information.

How long until the status will be changed?

You can expect the status to remain in Assessing for 1-48 hours if it has not changed within 20 seconds after the initial request. This is why we recommend implementing the Cover Assessment Completed webhook as apart of your integration to be notified when the status has changed.
